Volunteers Needed to Conduct Downtown Business Survey
Vista’s Economic Development works to improve the community’s economic well-being, thus enhancing the quality of life for Vista residents. Yet, it is more than just creating and retaining jobs. It is also about retaining residents – especially young people who want jobs and are seeking opportunities. In Vista, that means working directly with the business community to have a diverse and trained workforce with skills that match business needs. The City annually conducts surveys of the business climate in the city's Business Park and Paseo Santa Fe/ Downtown corridor with the help of local volunteers.
The City of Vista, in partnership with the downtown's Vista Village Business Association, is holding a Vista C.A.R.E.s Downtown Business Walk on Wednesday, May 31, 2018 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. The survey responses generate a simple, easy-to-read report that decision makers use to help strengthen their local businesses. The kick-off event will take place at 8 am at the Historic AVO Playhouse, located at 303 Main Street in downtown Vista.

The survey responses generate a simple, easy-to-read report that decision makers can use to help strengthen their local businesses. The power of the Business Walk is that individual business owners and managers have the opportunity to meet with the business and civic leadership of Vista who have the ability to act on their behalf to ensure a prosperous business climate. The event provides a full day dedicated to learning more about local businesses through face-to-face surveys and interviews.
